“I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made…”
-Psalm 139:14
Ladies, if nobody has told you lately, if voices have altered your self-perception, if the arise of social media has caused more comparison, if lies have caused oppression, and false forms of beauty have caused depression, I feel your pain. It seems like each year, women are evermore pressured to look like, act like, and speak like something else. That we are evermore pressured to normalize sexual immorality, adultery, promiscuity, as everything on the media shouts it’s opinion, allthewhile, deafening the truth of who you already are. If nobody has told you recently, you are worthwhile, beautiful, and passionately loved. If you feel unnoticed, alone, or overwhelmed in insecurity, you are seen right where you are and Somebody does care.
Mistakes are a part of life, and perfection is not what is being asked for, but rather your heart. You are worth more than rubies, and your heart is a treasure to be prized and your body a vessel to be honored. You hold shame over your past? So do I. Our stories may look different, but our wounds are the same. And the Love that has won me over and sustains me each and every day is the Love of a Heavenly Father. He will never let you down and He will never let you drown. You are adored, chosen, and beloved. You are ridiculously beautiful in your own skin and everything about you is special. If nobody has told you lately, you are radiant, strong, and worthy of a love story to call your own.
Heavenly Father,
I praise You for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Help me to rest in Your love and embrace who You created me to be. May Your word be to me the only voice of truth I believe. May Your radiance grow within me as You are the source of beauty itself.
Amen
